We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.
We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
I have worked for Welmerink Orthodontics for 25 years, but in two shifts. I worked here from 1985-1995, then moved to Las Vegas. When I returned to Sparks in 2005, I happily accepted Dr. Welmerink’s offer to come back to the practice as an assistant. At the beginning of 2011, I took over as office manager.
Working for Welmerink Orthodontics has always been so much fun and so fulfilling. One of the things I have always liked about my job is getting to know the patients and their families and making their experience in our office a pleasant and happy one.
I have three children of my own. My son Brian is a civil engineer and lives in Southern California with his wife Erin and daughter Corie, who turned a year old in October 2019. My oldest daughter Nicole and her husband LT Chase Strickland are currently stationed in Lemoore, California. Chase flies F-18s for the United States Navy. Nicole finished her nursing degree in 2019, and has started her new career in the OR room. They have two sons, Sawyer is 6 and Shane is 4. My youngest daughter Megan is training to become a vet at the Royal Veterinary College in London.
I love spending my time off with my grandchildren and enjoy biking, golfing, and skiing in the great outdoors with my husband, Vince.
I joined the Welmerink Orthodontics team in December 2011. I also worked in the orthodontic field from 2000-2006, before I became a stay-at-home mom. During my orthodontic career, I have worked in the lab and assisted the doctors. You have probably seen me as the treatment coordinator over the first six years of my time here with Welmerink Orthodontics. I truly enjoyed meeting all of our new patients.
In 2017, I moved into the financial coordinator position. I work with you and your insurance company to make providing orthodontic treatment possible for you and your child. I am here to help with any of your orthodontic financial questions.
Camping, skiing, and spending time at the beach are some of my favorite hobbies. My husband Ryan and I have three boys who keep us very busy playing sports. Blaine is a baseball fanatic, Logan loves football, and our youngest Mitchell is following in his big brothers’ footsteps playing baseball. You can always find us at some sporting event around town. We love watching them discover and pursue their passions.
I have been with the Welmerink Orthodontics team since 2012 and am very excited to be here! I have worked in the dental field for the past 12 years, and especially love working with orthodontic patients. It is such a fulfilling job when you see the happiness a great smile brings our patients.
I moved here in 2003 from Northern California and I love all that Northern Nevada has to offer! My husband and I enjoy the outdoors and spend as much time as possible hiking, hunting, and exploring. I also enjoy spending time with my four sons, daughter-in-law, and beautiful granddaughter, Hayden.
I hope to make your experience here a positive one from the minute you walk in the door!
I started working at Welmerink Orthodontics as a scheduling coordinator in January 2017. Since the beginning, it has been a rewarding experience to work with an enthusiastic team that truly cares about the well-being of their patients. This is my first time working in an orthodontic office, and I am excited to be in a field that has a powerful and direct impact on a person’s life. I look forward to getting to know our patients and watching them transform throughout treatment!
I grew up in the Bay Area and moved to Reno to attend the University of Nevada in 2011. During that time, I fell in love with the area and everything Reno has to offer. After graduating from college, I started work in a medical office, took some time to travel, and then decided to move back to Reno. I have been enjoying the close proximity to Tahoe and taking every opportunity I can to hike, camp, and kayak around the lake.
I have worked in the orthodontic field since 2006, after graduating from the TMCC Dental Assisting Program. My favorite thing about my job is bringing people happiness by transforming their smile. I am a previous patient of Dr. Welmerink’s: I had braces completed when I was in the fifth grade. I am so happy to work for such amazing doctors and give our patients the same great experience here that I had!
Some of my favorite things to do are run, travel, walk my Goldendoodle Rosie, and spend time with my family and friends. I have two children: a daughter Adalyn and a son Cooper. My husband Matt and I were born and raised in Sparks.
Orthodontic Clinical Assistant
This year, 2020, will mark my 24th year working as a team member for Welmerink orthodontics, the best job of my life!
My family outside of the office consists of my fiancé Damon, daughter Jessica and her husband Kyle, my grand-doggy Oliver, my son Cody, and my amazing parents. Jessica is a pharmacist at the Reno VA hospital. Cody has a degree in civil engineering, but is enjoying life as the captain of a fishing boat in Alaska.
My hobbies include running, and paddle boarding on beautiful Lake Tahoe. I love exercise of any kind, as long as it keeps me moving! One of my biggest accomplishments was running the Boston Marathon in 1999 and 2000. I love to travel, and I am a huge Disney fan.
Orthodontic Clinical Assistant
I joined the Welmerink Orthodontic team in the Fall of 2016. I graduated from the dental assisting program at Milan and did my externship at Welmerink Orthodontics before being hired to join the team. It has been a great experience working with a fun, friendly and caring team. Thank you Dr. Welmerink for believing in me and my capabilities from the beginning. I loved how braces changed my smile, and it is an honor being able to help transform beautiful smiles and help make patients comfortable and confident about their smiles.
I was born and raised in Reno. I have been blessed with a son, two-year-old Giovanni! In our spare time we enjoy going to the park, the lake, and camping. I also love playing softball and watching Netflix. I am very family oriented, having come from a family of six children.
I cannot wait to meet each of you, if I have not already!
Orthodontic Clinical Assistant
I have seen this office from both sides, as a patient since 2014, and as a part of the Welmerink Orthodontics team. This office is an absolutely amazing place to be. I have been here since 2015 and I love every minute of my rewarding position. I went to dental assisting school at TMCC and am actively certified with the Dental Assisting National Board. This is a huge achievement for me. I get a thrill out of meeting all of our patients and being able to see their transformations.
My family is everything! I have an amazing husband, whom I married in January 2020, and a beautiful sassy daughter, Katalina, who was born in January 2018. We moved to Fallon in 2017 to be closer to family. I enjoy dirt-track racing, and being with my family. If I have already met you, see you soon; and if I haven’t, I can’t wait to!

I joined the Welmerink Orthodontic team in October of 2016. Prior to working here I graduated from ECPI Medical Careers Institute in Virginia and spent 6 years in general dentistry. I absolutely love my job, it is truly rewarding changing lives through creating beautiful confident smiles.
Outside of the office I am busy raising three young girls Brylee, Elyse, and Everly, with my husband Nathan. Though the girls keep me busy I love spending time with our Family and Friends, going camping, paddle boarding, day trips to all of our surrounding lakes, and relaxing watching movies as a family.
Orthodontic Lab Technician
I have worked in the orthodontic field for more than 30 years. I enjoy the creativity of making appliances for the practice and being a part of a fun team.
Having two children and two grandchildren has brought incredible joy to my life, as with other activities like camping and getting together with friends to share life’s great experiences.
Orthodontic Records Technician
I started working at Welmerink Orthodontics during the summer of 2018. I have truly enjoyed working with such an amazing team. Prior to working at Welmerink Orthodontics, I was at a pediatric dental office for seven years. It brings me great joy seeing each of our patients’ smiles grow throughout treatment.
I am the proud mother of three beautiful young ladies. Alissa currently manages a fitness gym and attends college. Brooklyn attends Bishop Manogue High School, where she plays lacrosse. Kenzie attends Sky Ranch Middle School and plays fast pitch softball as a pitcher. I love being a mom and wouldn’t change that for anything. I am a native Nevadan and most likely you will find me in the Nevada backroads having a great time hunting, fishing, and camping, all while working with my dogs. I live a very active life and enjoy each and every adventure.
